The 13^th day of March in the year of Our Lord God: 1670 I Ursula WINSER of ffordington in the County of Dorset widdow: being sicke in body: but in good and perfecte memory thanks be to Almighty God doe order give and dispose my goods in manner and forme as followeth, that is I so say that all those debts w^th (which) I owe to any person or persons be contented and paid in conveinient time after my decease by my executor hereafter named,

Item: I give and bequeath unto my daughter Tamsen fforty pounds to be paid within a yeare and a day after my decease with one ffeather bead (bed) ^{one rugg} one paire of blankets a paire of sheets a paire of pillowtie one goud (gold) Ringe (ring) w^th (which) was my weding Ringe one Cow one pouter (pewter) dish one boardcloth and Coffer box

Item: I give and bequeath unto my daughter Mary fforty pounds to be paid within a yeare and a day after my decease. I likewise give unto my daughter Mary one Cow one fflooke (flute?) bead (bed) a paire of blankets (illegible 2 words?) sheets a paire of pillowties one pauter (pewter) dish and box a coffer and a Red Rugge (rug)

Item: I give and bequeath unto my daughter Sara one scamell whitela? one longe (long) trendel? one sillver (silver) pinn (pin) one Truckle bedsted

I give unto my granchild Mary ADAMES one Little gould (gold) ring

And to my granchild John ADAMS one pauter (pewter) dish

And the Reste of my goods whatsoever within dore (doors) and without I give unto my sone John and doe appoynte and ordaine him to be my lawfull Executor paying just debts & legacies (3 illegible words interlined) whereunto I have set my hand the Day and yeare above written

Genealogical Notes:-
(1). No trace of a burial for a Ursula Winser in St Georges church Fordington but there is a burial for an Alice Winser on 21st April 1670 a few days after this will was written. I have rechecked the image and this is not a transcription error but it is always possible that the vicar misheard the name.

(2). Ursula's husband was John WINDSOR (Senior) and was buried in St Georges graveyard on 16th may 1664 without leaving a will. Ursula obtained a Letter of Administration to enable her to deal with his estate jointly with their son John WINDSER (Junior) and drew up for the Court an inventory of goods both of which have survived and been transcribed fon this site and are available via this link.
