Winterborne Kingston is a small parish in Dorset two miles north east of Bere Regis (Beer) and six and a half miles south-south east from Blandford. The village is one of many on the Winterborne, from where the stream rises to when it flows into the Stour at Sturminster Marshall there is Winterborne Houghton, W. Stickland, W. Clenstone, W. Whitechurch, W. Kingston, W. Muston, W. Tomson and W. Zelstone. To the west is the large parish of Bere Regis. The ancient church of St Nicholas is a stone and flint structure in the Early English style. |

The church was restored in 1873. The registers begin in 1598 but are imperfect between 1599 & 1613 and between 1675 & 1696. There are 2559 acres of chalky loan which used to grow mainly wheat oats and barley. A National School was constructed in 1876. In 1891 the population was 500 persons.
